Wrong Photos
John Baldessari
From 1962-1968 John Baldessari compiled a group of "wrong photos". This meant that he went out of his way to take pictures that weren't technically correct in order to prove to everyone that they are naturally able to take pictures that are pleasing to the eye.
In this picture the blurry poles on either side almost act as a frame but due to the lack of clarity it doesn't work as well as it should. Also the fact that the doors at the end of the picture are placed in an odd position gives the photo an uncomfortable feel. This feeling is backed up by the fact that the exact centre of the picture is the space between the two poles.
